Becoming a member
We are welcoming new members.
Details of membership fees are provided on the membership form at the bottom of this page. We offer the following membership categories
FAMILY MEMBERSHIP Eligibility: Shall be available to two co-habiting adults and all children within their guardianship under 16 years of age as of 1st January.
FULL INDIVIDUAL MEMBERSHIP Eligibility: Shall be available to an adult and all children within their guardianship under 16 years of age as of 1st January.
STUDENT MEMBERSHIP Eligibility: Shall be available to persons aged 16 or over who are in full time education provided suitable proof (e.g. student card) is provided upon application and at each renewal.
CREW MEMBERSHIP Eligibility: Shall be available to persons 16 or over. Sailing with a current full member. Restrictions: No vote, no entrance fee. Crew members are not able to store or sail their own boat at the club, hire club boats, join club courses, or camp - other than for the limited number of days available to normal visitors (additional fees may apply). If a waiting list for full membership is in place at the end of the first year as a crew member, further years may be added until a full membership place becomes available. The crew membership fees will be deducted from the joining fee, if membership is upgraded in the subsequent year
INDIVIDUAL UNDER 25 MEMBERSHIP Eligibility: Shall be available to persons over 16 and up to and including 25 years of age as of 1st Jan who are not students
INDIVIDUAL 26-30 YEARS OLD MEMBERSHIP Eligibility: Shall be available to persons 26 30 years old inclusive as of 1st Jan who are not student
FRIEND OF NETLEY SAILING CLUB Eligibility: Shall be available to persons to allow them limited use of the club environment in support of Netley Sailing Club. Restrictions: Includes use of site and clubhouse, when open only, does not include launching, training, or camping. Members have no voting rights. Friends of Netley Sailing Club must be linked to an adult Netley Sailing Club member. Members may only have two friends of Netley Sailing Club per year.
WINTER MEMBERSHIP Eligibility: Shall be available to persons 16 or over. They need to be proposed by a full member. It is available 1st Oct 1st March. It entitles them to access to the sailing club facilities and racing and storage of a boat. Restrictions: They have no voting rights, are not able to hire club boats, join club courses, or camp - other than for the limited number of days available to normal visitors with additional fees. This membership type is capped at 15 places.
